Citrix ‘Next Generation’ of certification

December 30, 2008

  • Administrator,
  • Engineer;
  • Architect.

  • Application Virtualization;
  • Desktop Virtualization;
  • Server Virtualization;
  • Application Networking.

  • CCA: gecertificeerden beschikken over de kennis van het enkele produkt waarin ze gecertificeerd zijn;
  • CCA Platinum: gecertificeerden hebben alle certificeringen behaald welke nodig zijn mbt de specialisatie;

Finally CCIA for Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server 4) :-)

December 23, 2008

Finally passed exam “1Y0-614 Citrix Access Suite 4.0: Design”. I really got interested in this exam because of the announced upgrade paths of the CCIA certification by Citrix. I only had to take this exam to complete my CCIA.

Passed: TS Microsoft Forefront Client and Server, Configuration

April 11, 2008

Fairly easy exam. Having some knowledge of MOM/SCOM has some advantage because it works on top of this product. Know how Microsoft Forefront installs/acts on Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Exchange and how it interoperates with Microsoft WSUS Server.

Passed: TS Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007, Configuring

March 31, 2008

Microsoft really dropped the ball on this one, with some experience with Microsoft MOM 2005, logic thinking, common sense and a twist of lemon you are able to pass this exam.

Next exam: TS: Microsoft Forefront Client and Server, Configuration, I think this will be a nice add-on to my Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Security specialization.

Passed Microsoft Beta Exams 71-646 and 71-647!

March 27, 2008

clip_image002

I took these exams on the same day, yes it was a nice certification day, January 10th. :-) Although I can not recommend doing such a thing because it requires to stay focused for a considerably long time, beta exams often consists of a lot of questions. Unfortunately I did not have the the time (luxury) to plan 2 days for these exams, so … All is well, a pass is a pass, as they say. :-)

So that just totally made my day! Don’t you just love Microsoft products? :-)

So by passing these exams I can add two more certifications to my list:
-Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Server Administrator
-Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator

Curriculum Roadmap

My appreciated colleague Kay Sellenrode also passed both of these exams so we will be well represented by within our company Platani regarding Windows 2008 certifications.

Passed TS:MS Internet Security & Acceleration Server 2006,Configuring

March 19, 2008

60 questions / 2 hours of ISA 2006 pain ;-) . No, just kidding, exam can easily be done if you work extensively with this product. Although during the exam I thought it would barely be a pass but I passed with a sweet 907.

When you implement Microsoft Infrastructures ,like we do, you are bound to come across the Microsoft ISA Server 2006 product line. This exam covers a lot of stuff that you actually come across when implementing ISA Server.

On to the next exam: TS: Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007, Configuring, scheduled on march 28th. :-)
